Lance Corporal Matthew Snyder: KIA

This infuriates me... so badly. Lance Corporal Matthew Snyder, killed in Iraq in 2006, received this funeral procession on arrival back home. The young man was just trying to serve his country and protect the people in this photo, and this is how they show their gratitude for him giving the ultimate sacrifice. They sicken me. How can they say such things about their own people, especially those who risk their lives for them? "Thank God for maimed soldiers. Thank God for IED's." WHAT!?!? How dare they. I would love to see them go out there and take the place of those soldiers and see how they like it. I think that might be a good attitude adjuster.
Then they say, "What we were doing was constitutionally correct. Freedom of speech." What spoke wasn't words. It was hatred. They directed hatred towards their own countrymen, their fellow Christians. That's worse than Muslims doing the same thing because at least they aren't betraying their own people. What they did was unconstitutional. Freedom of speech is a constitutional right but this attacks the credibility of the dead soldier, saying that he died for nothing, and it is a direct attack to most Americans around the world. This is treason, and I pray to my God, which obviously isn't the same as theirs, that they don't go unpunished.

It definitely makes me wonder about their mentality. How could they be so uncaring toward another human being?

I agree with you Tim, it makes me sick to my stomach that some people are just that inconsiderate. We might have the freedom of speech, and we might have the freedom of religion, but there is a point where people need to stop and think about the family of this solider. My family's military. I am a proud supporter of their cause. These people put their lives on the line so the people in the photo have the right to stand there and protest the way they are. I' sorry that they just don't understand the sacrifice the soldiers give.

this ticks me off. i saw this on the news and it took all my might not to throw up just hearing about it. i hope that one of the people in the this persons family dies and everyone goes and makes a big deal about their death. i bet they wouldnt like that very much. the dignity these people have! the pure hatred and disrespect! We should throw them into Iraq and see how they handle it!

Dana, a little to far my dear. Haha, although I agree with you, very strongly, I don't think anyone deserves to die. As mean and hateful as I am, I do have a heart, and death is never the answer. There's so many soldiers still over in Iraq, and I believe we need to bring them home, asap. This is only because I know some people over there. Bill Clinton is over there as a matter of fact..
